Sole stamp/engraving is reversed --'CLASSIC III' goes towards the putters toe -'III' at the toe vice'CLASSIC'. From reviewing the Scotty Cameron COA records, there are only 4 others like this, so one might say this is one of five vice 1 of 150. COA A-013862 is included with the putter. COA A-016066's picture is included as it has the'with reverse sole engravings' in the notes. Overall the putter is in very good to excellent condition, given its age. It appears it was refurbished in 2008. Grip and shaft are original and in excellent condition. Putter head shows minimal bag wear and tear from use on the course and would rate as in very good condition. No major bag nicks or dings, no rust, paint fill still present and the mill marks are still visible from when putter was refurbished. There were only 150 of the CGI Classic III putters made.

This is a welcomed addition to and a must for any Scotty Cameron Collection. Putter could be a candidate to revisit Scotty's Custom shop for some TLC and refurbishment.

The new grip will most likely be a Danny Edwards NOS grip. Just like the original but with NOS on the grips top end.

Scotty Cameron introduced the Classic III putter in 1993-94 prior to affiliating with Titleist and this is the putter's first year in production. The Classic 3 is a simple, timeless design that has been a winner on tour for years. What makes Cameron putters so popular on Tour and found in the winners circle at tournaments around the globe isn't simply that they are creations made from timeless designs.

Scotty completely understands putters and the changes that have taken place on the putting surface and adjusts to the changes. When the Bulls Eye putter was first created, greens were slower, the stroke was more wristy and putters were longer to pop the ball and get it rolling. The advances in technology and changes on the putting surface have allowed Scotty to completely mill each putter from a solid block of steel for consistency, create heavier putters at shorter lengths for faster greens and different putting postures. The Classic 3 is an example of these changes.

There were only approximately 150 of this model made until Titleist partnered with Scotty and the all-milled Bulls Eye putters can be seen in the 2001 lineup.
